At age 24, Marcus Murphy unknowingly began his career in carpet cleaning. After a recent lay off from his job at the post office, Murphy’s brother told him to apply for a job at a local carpet cleaning company. “Some companies I worked for only did cleaned carpets, others just flood restoration” Murphy said. 7 companies and 17 years later, Marcus Murphy has opened High Rise Carpet Cleaning, to address the needs some companies he worked for were lacking.
